Applications are invited for the part-time role of
Compliance Officer
Start Date: 1 October 2024

The ideal candidate should:

have a university degree in Occupational Health and Safety, or Environmental Health, or a related field
possess professional certifications such as: OSHA (Occupational Safety C Health Administration), NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety C Health), or equivalent
have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in safety management, compliance, or a related field
have a knowledge of, and experience with, the legal requirements of POPIA C PAIA
be familiar with relevant laws, regulations and standards
understand the importance of safety principles, risk assessment, C control measures
have auditing C inspection skills
show the ability to interpret regulations C standards
have analytical C problem solving skills
be a highly organised, meticulous administrator, and be able to show evidence of a strong work ethic
be a team player who can work both independently and within a large organisation
be digitally very competent
exhibit excellent communication C interpersonal skills
be a creative, flexible thinker
able to provide Police Clearance if offered the role
