QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • A Grade 12 education.
  • A basic traffic training certificate (NQF level 5).
  • A Code EB driver’s license.
  • A clean criminal background.
  • Skills in using firearms.
  • 2 to 5 years of related job experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Watch how traffic flows and the state of the roads.
  • Regularly travel through assigned areas, observing traffic and finding cars parked where they shouldn’t be.
  • Make sure traffic laws are followed.
  • Tell supervisors about problems and illegal activities that can’t be immediately addressed.
  • Promote public safety through campaigns and teaching people about traffic rules.
  • Stop people from breaking traffic laws.

  • Needs to help create a local government that looks like the people it represents.
  • Needs to think about and manage risks when deciding things.
  • Needs to handle complaints by listening and offering other options.
  • Needs to solve disagreements and stay calm when facing anger or rudeness.
  • Needs to answer calls quickly and do a good job.
  • Needs to act professionally when talking to the public and those involved.

SALARY : R307 066.00 per Annum
