MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To support nursing unit staff in delivering safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care that proactively promotes and effectively meets the diverse healthcare needs of patients, while fostering an environment of compassion, respect, and dignity for individuals and their families.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
- Help nurses give good patient care as part of a team.
- Spot and tell others about dangers based on hospital rules.
- Help make patients have a good experience by helping the nurses.
- Give office help to the nurses as needed.
- Help create a place where people can learn and get better at their jobs by always trying to improve your own skills.
- Make sure supplies are used well and billed correctly.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: An appropriate qualification as a Care Worker
DESIRED EDUCATION: Grade 12
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Essential minimum experience: Experience in a healthcare environment

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Knowing how to manage stock.
- Reporting and writing down what happens or what needs doing.
- Understanding medical and legal risks.
- Knowing how to do office work.
- Understanding what patients go through.
- Understanding how to care for patients.
- Using ways to stop infections from spreading.
