This role, located in the heart of our seed operation, requires a candidate with a strong work ethic and a commitment to contributing to the success of our department.
The successful applicant will be expected to handle a variety of tasks related to seed processing, storage, and distribution. Consequently, the ideal candidate must possess excellent mental and physical health, ensuring they can comfortably perform the demands of the role.
This includes the ability to regularly lift and maneuver heavy items, sometimes exceeding [insert approximate weight range, e.g., 25-50 kilograms]. Stamina and endurance are crucial for this position.
Reliability is of paramount importance. We require a dependable individual who will consistently arrive on time, be prepared to work, and diligently complete assigned tasks.

Safety is our top priority at SSK. Therefore, a strong safety consciousness is a non-negotiable requirement. The candidate must adhere strictly to all safety protocols and procedures, proactively identify potential hazards, and actively contribute to maintaining a safe working environment for themselves and their colleagues.
Candidate must be adaptable and possess the ability to work effectively in potentially challenging working conditions. This may include exposure to varying weather conditions (heat, cold, dust), extended periods of standing or physical activity, and potentially noisy environments. The ability to maintain a positive attitude and work collaboratively under pressure is essential.
Responsibilities:
- How well the Seed Store works.
- Managing supplies and keeping things tidy.
- Helping out with different jobs in other areas.
Requirements:
- At least a Matric (Grade 12) qualification
- A Code EB (Code 8) driver’s license is an advantage
