We are currently seeking a highly motivated and reliable Driver Assistant to join our renowned and rapidly expanding liquor distribution team, based in the vibrant business hub of Sandton, Gauteng.

- As a Driver Assistant, your primary responsibilities will revolve around supporting our delivery drivers in the efficient and safe transportation of our premium range of liquor products.
- This will involve actively assisting with the careful and accurate loading of delivery vehicles at our Sandton depot, ensuring that all items are securely packed and organized to prevent damage during transit.
Upon arrival at designated delivery locations, you will play a crucial role in the timely and efficient unloading of goods, working closely with the driver to verify delivery manifests and ensure accurate order fulfillment.
Your attention to detail will be essential in minimizing errors and maintaining customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be on time for your shift to help meet delivery deadlines.
- Make sure the daily transfer of goods from the warehouse to your vehicle is smooth and effective.
- Pack deliveries carefully according to the schedule, preventing any damage to the items.
- Bring your tablet and all completed delivery documents with you every day before leaving the warehouse.
- Deliver and collect stock according to the delivery plans or as asked by the supervisor or manager. Deliver orders to customers accurately, on time, as scheduled.
- Communicate with customers in a way that makes them want to buy again.
- Collect and document any wine for return, following the instructions on the paperwork.
- Every day: Clean the inside of your vehicle and check that it is in good shape.
- Report any vehicle accidents or incidents to your supervisor or manager right away. Handle accidents according to standard procedure.
- Follow the dress code by wearing the correct uniform and always look presentable.
Qualifications:
- Grade 12
- Code 10/14 License (Beneficial)
