We’re looking for a VIP Security Officer in Beacon Valley, Western Cape. Could you be our next Purple Star?
The person we hire will keep people safe. This might involve watching security cameras or walking around to check things. VIP officers need to stop loss and theft and tell us about anything strange or worrying.

- Registered with PSIRA (Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority).
- Previous Security experience.
A Bonus To Have:

What You’ll Do For The Brand:
- Important people should be there 15 minutes before the branch opens.
- The Branch Manager or Senior Team Leader will open the branch with the important person there.
- The important person needs to walk around the outside of the building before the branch opens.
- The important person needs to look for anything that seems unsafe or out of place before the branch is opened.
- The important person needs to pay close attention to what’s happening around them before the branch opens and closes.
- The important person needs to walk through the branch after it opens to make sure everything is okay.
- The important person must confirm that all checks have been done before the Branch Manager or Senior Team Leader starts their daily tasks.
- When the branch is opening and closing, one important person must stand away from the entrance to watch their coworker and look for any possible threats.
- Walking around to check should include inside and outside the branch entrance, the back areas, and all the parking lots.
- Make sure all walkie-talkies are fully charged for use early in the morning. Report any broken equipment right away.
- Charge the batteries overnight so they are ready to use at the start of your work time.
- Make sure all panic buttons and walkie-talkies are working properly and kept in a safe place.
- In case of an emergency, it’s important to communicate clearly and be easily reachable.
- The security officer at the entrance must use the scanner to check everyone coming into the branch, including employees.
- Make sure the door or gate at the entrance is always closed.
- Security officers must not scan guests of the opposite gender.
- Male security officers should only scan male guests, and female security officers should only scan female guests.
- Security officers must use a stick to check female bags. Male guests are not allowed to bring bags inside.
- Security officers need to manage traffic on the property, keeping foot traffic moving smoothly and controlling the number of cars coming and going.
- At the end of the day, the security officer should close one door to limit access and increase security against potential threats.
- Security officers are required to attend branch meetings when the Branch Manager asks them to.
- Security officers should help with receiving inventory, testing the alarm system, and turning in a daily report by 10:00 am each morning.

Guest Service
- First impressions last – VIP Officers are at the forefront of Hollywood.
- VIP Officers are the first encounter with the guest.
- Ensure to make the impression by greeting the Guest with “Good day, welcome to Hollywood”
- Ensure to provide good guest service by being friendly, helpful, polite and courteous at all times.
- Proactively address guest complaints and ensure guest feedback is communicated clearly in an effective and positive manner.
- Create a guest-centric culture within the branch and drive the philosophy of “service with a smile” at all times.
- Ensure to treating our guest with respect and have the good attitude at all times.
- When Guest are leaving the branch VIP Officer to wish the guest good evening or good night and ask them to come again. “Good Bye Sir, please come again.
Compliance
- VIP Offices must ensure they are dressed in full Amadoda uniforms with their name badges before the beginning of their shift. (black shoes, black socks and white vet only)
- Scan all persons entering the premises including team members.
- Be observant of guest leaving the branch, identify if they entered the branch with something you noticed and are leaving without that object.
- No bags are allowed inside the premises.
- No Weapons/Guns are allowed into the premises (except on an official law enforcement officer).
- No person under the age of 18 is allowed into the premises.
- If you are dealing with a difficult customer contact your colleagues and press the panic button before the situation escalates out of control.
- In ranches with no liquor licence, No alcohol is allowed on the premises.
- Credit bets are not allowed to be taken by any team member.
- VIP Officer on duty are not allow to take bets with Amadoda uniform.
- VIP Officers on duty are not allowed to utilize the Limited pay-out machine.
Code of Conduct
- While on duty you will not sit or lounge, make use of your cell phone or eat.
- No smoking on duty.
- You will not report for duty under the influence of alcohol.
- You will not abandon your post. This could lead to disciplinary action against you.
- You are not allowed to sleep on duty. This will lead to disciplinary action against you.
- You will not have casual conversations with friends/other team members while at your post.
- You will not accept tips from the guest

Other
- VIP Officer must report their absenteeism to the Branch Manager / Senior Team Leader 2 hours before their shift begins.
- Able to work in a rotating shift /work flexible hour.
- Ensure the ability to work independently.
- Ensure you physical fitness is obtained at all times in line with the job requirements.
