Assistant Sales Representative: Emerging Markets (Yes Learner)

Clover is offering a great chance for young, jobless people to work in sales as Assistant Sales Reps for new markets (Masakhane). This program aims to give you 12 months of work experience. These roles will be based at Clover’s Clayville office in Gauteng and report to them. Clover is happy to work with the YES program to create chances for young South Africans, aiming “TO BE BETTER FOR THE BENEFIT OF ALL”.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent NQF4.
  • Code 08 Driver’s license.
  • Business English: Fluent.

Duties and Responsibilities

Increase customer recruitment/onboarding within the Food Service Industry (FSI) and/or General Trade (GT) Channel.

  • Ensure visits to all appointments made for customer recruits
  • Coordinate the account application process until complete
  • Source new business to develop active buying customer base within the FSI and/or GT channel
  • Introduce Clover within the FSI and/or GT channel to satisfy customers’ needs
  • Ensure the minimum of 125 customers are onboarded / recruited on monthly basis for FSI
  • Ensure the minimum of 200 customers are onboarded / recruited on monthly basis for GT.

Provide and support ongoing excellent service to customers.

  • Provide great customer support and keep it up.
  • Make sure all customer questions are answered.
  • Tell customers when their accounts are created.
  • Talk with Sales Reps and the Area Manager about all new customers.
  • Manage the process of giving customers to Sales Representatives and Area Managers.
  • Keep track of why some customers aren’t signed up and share that information.

Provide service to customers through sales processes.

  • Develop and maintain excellent customer relations

  • Minimise stock returns
  • Maintain facings

Monitor and report on sales volumes and pricing

  • Record and report on salesper outlet and product category
  • Implement negotiated prices
  • Monitor and maintain fridge compliance
