SALARY: R149.40 Per Day (EPWP General worker daily rate)
REQUIREMENTS
- Must have completed Grade 10.
- Completion of Grade 12 is helpful.
- A driver’s license that is valid is helpful.
- Must have great people skills and be able to talk to others well (must speak two languages).
- People who live in the Midvaal area will be chosen first.
- Able to do what you are told.
- In good shape, know how to do physical tasks, and be able to do them.
- Must be able to do what the job needs.
- Must be someone who works hard and is able to control themselves.
- Zero to one year of experience as a general worker in a local government is needed.
DUTIES
- Move materials and equipment safely, using protective gloves and tools.
- Place road signs to alert drivers to road work near city streets during digging.
- Keep the work area neat and tidy using hand tools to maintain a clean workspace.
- Perform general labor tasks as directed by the supervisor.
- Follow all lawful orders from the supervisor to help the section run efficiently and meet goals.
- Complete other assigned tasks and duties as needed by the supervisor or management.
