EPWP General Worker: Various Departments – Fixed Term Contract 2 Years

SALARY: R149.40 Per Day (EPWP General worker daily rate)

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have completed Grade 10.
  • Completion of Grade 12 is helpful.
  • A driver’s license that is valid is helpful.
  • Must have great people skills and be able to talk to others well (must speak two languages).
  • People who live in the Midvaal area will be chosen first.
  • Able to do what you are told.
  • In good shape, know how to do physical tasks, and be able to do them.
  • Must be able to do what the job needs.
  • Must be someone who works hard and is able to control themselves.
  • Zero to one year of experience as a general worker in a local government is needed.

DUTIES

  • Move materials and equipment safely, using protective gloves and tools.
  • Place road signs to alert drivers to road work near city streets during digging.
  • Keep the work area neat and tidy using hand tools to maintain a clean workspace.
  • Perform general labor tasks as directed by the supervisor.
  • Follow all lawful orders from the supervisor to help the section run efficiently and meet goals.
  • Complete other assigned tasks and duties as needed by the supervisor or management.
