About the Programme
The Diploma in Nursing offered by Life Healthcare Nursing College is a three-year, full-time qualification registered at NQF Level 6 with a total of 360 credits. This programme prepares students to become competent, professional General Nurses registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC). The curriculum integrates theoretical knowledge with clinical practice, ensuring that graduates are ready to deliver safe, ethical, and person-centred care in a variety of healthcare settings.

Admission Requirements
For South African Citizens:
- National Senior Certificate (NSC) with eligibility for diploma-level study
- Admission Point Score (APS) of 24 or higher
- English at NSC Level 4 (50–59%) or above
- Life Sciences at NSC Level 4 (50–59%) or above
- Mathematical Literacy at NSC Level 4 (50–59%) or Mathematics at NSC Level 3 (40–49%) or above
- Recommendation: Completion of a computer literacy course
For Foreign Nationals:
- SAQA equivalency certificate
- National Vocational Certificate: Primary Healthcare NQF Level 4
- APS of 24 or higher
Alternative Entry – Recognition of Prior Learning:
- National Senior Certificate
- SANC Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary or Enrolled Nursing Qualification
- Current SANC Annual Practice Licence
- Recognition of Prior Learning is capped at 10% of the annual intake
