Minopex – Maintenance Data Capturer

The primary function of this position is to ensure the safe, cost-effective, and accurate management of maintenance and shutdown activities.
This encompasses a comprehensive range of responsibilities, starting with the meticulous identification of necessary maintenance tasks, followed by the development of detailed plans and schedules that optimize resource utilization and minimize operational disruption.
A crucial aspect of this role involves the diligent maintenance of master data within the planned maintenance system, ensuring data integrity and facilitating efficient tracking, analysis, and reporting.

This role directly contributes to maximizing equipment uptime, reducing maintenance costs, and maintaining a safe and compliant operating environment.
By effectively planning and scheduling maintenance, this position plays a critical role in preventing unexpected equipment failures and ensuring the long-term reliability and performance of the organization’s assets.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintenance Support:
- Link new materials to Bill of Materials (BOM) and update BOM on SAGE.
- Load new task lists and update existing task lists on the system.
- Capture, update and maintain maintenance plans.
Maintenance Scheduling:
- Figure out what maintenance is needed and work with the right people inside or outside the company.
- Make job requests and give the list of tasks to the correct managers.
- Make requests for things not usually kept in stock and assign parts.
- Approve purchase requests and job permits.
- Check supplies, track them down, and speed things up if needed.
- Report any problems with planned supplies each week.
- Start planned work and keep an eye on upcoming jobs.
- Guess how much jobs will cost.
- Assign workers, set up weekly planning meetings, and make maintenance plans.
- Guess how much the week’s planned work will cost.
- Share and send out the schedule.
- Print job requests when needed to make sure maintenance is done according to plan.
Contractor Management:
- Optimise resource levelling through the use of internal or contractor Artisans for planned work.
- Create Service Entry Sheets for planned work.
- Verify contractor attendance the week before the job is scheduled to start
- Collate all required paperwork for legal appointments.
- Coordinate medical bookings and other site / client specific requirements.
- Assist with Health & Safety campaigns as and when required.
- Compile various reports according to organizational and client requirements.
Qualification Requirements
- A Grade 12 certificate or a similar qualification at NQF level 4, such as certain NATED courses (like an N3 Certificate) is needed.
- Having a Trade Test Certificate that is still valid will be a plus.
Experience and Skills Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience working with engineering plans or maintenance.
- Able to communicate well in English.
- Good at managing your time.
- Comfortable using computers and MS Office programs.
- Training in a maintenance planning system.
