Make Sure You Read The Job Details Closely before You Apply
Training is only available to successfully recruited candidates. Applicants must first complete an interview for an onboard position in either Bar, Dining, Housekeeping or Culinary and be selected before being considered for training.
Training Is Free Of Charge
Accommodation and transport are at your own expense. You are provided with a light snack in the morning and lunch throughout the duration of training.
Some jobs need training before starting work, after being hired. This training can last from 6 to 20 days in a row, depending on the job. Right now, cooking training is only done at our Cape Town center. Training for cleaning, bar work, and serving food mainly happens at our Durban center.

Upon completing the training course, you’ll be equipped with the skills needed to secure a position onboard. Please allow a minimum of six weeks for communication and confirmation after your application.

Following Maritime Labour Convention rules, you won’t have to pay any fees to get hired or placed in a job. However, to work on a ship, International Maritime Law says you need specific STCW 2010 certificates and medical checks, which could cost around fifteen thousand rand.
If you pass the interview, we will help you get these.
