TB HIV Care – Data Capturer

Purpose of the position:
The Data Capturer supports the M&E specialist in capturing and consolidating facility and partner data. The District Data Capturer is responsible for consolidating weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have completed Grade 12.
- Having a college or university degree is a plus.
- Experience with TIER.Net software, including entering data and creating reports, is needed.
- Must have a good understanding of HIV/AIDS.
- At least two years of experience working with Department of Health data and monitoring & evaluation systems, from patient records to DHIS level, is required.
- Experience collecting and entering data is necessary.
- Experience entering or collecting data in public health is preferred.
- Being familiar with the public health sector and the District Health System is helpful.
- Must be able to use MS Office.
- Must be able to speak and write in English and isiXhosa.
- Must have no criminal record.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Gathering and putting together facility information.
- Make sure all data that comes in weekly, monthly, and quarterly is received, collected, and combined.
- Put the weekly, monthly, and quarterly data into the computer systems.
- Change the data to fit the correct format and structure.
- Keep a list of who is in charge of sending in data from each location.
- Tell the Monitoring and Evaluation expert and other important people if data is late, and keep track of when all data is sent in.
- Work with coworkers and project leaders to make sure the project goals are met.
- Talk to people at the Department of Health and THC to get important information about the project.
- Do filing and office work as needed.
