Woodlands Dairy – General Worker (Cold Storage)

Key Performance Areas:
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a range of general duties essential to maintaining Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards within the facility. This includes, but is not limited to, adhering to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and promptly reporting any deviations or potential hazards to supervisors.
The primary work environment for this role will be within the Cold Storage areas. The candidate will be expected to perform a variety of tasks in this environment, including: meticulously cleaning and sanitizing the cold storage units and surrounding areas to ensure a hygienic and compliant environment; assisting with the loading and unloading of delivery trucks, carefully handling products to prevent damage or contamination; accurately packing products according to established procedures and labeling requirements; and actively participating in month-end inventory counts, which requires precise counting and documentation of product quantities.
The candidate may also be required to perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operational efficiency of the Cold Storage area and ensure ongoing compliance with GMP regulations.
Knowledge and Skills:
The ideal candidate for this position will be officially matriculated into the company’s registry and possess a valid and current SP2 security clearance.
This is a fundamental requirement for the role. Furthermore, the nature of this position demands a high degree of flexibility and commitment to meeting the operational needs of the organization.
As such, the successful candidate must be willing and able to work shifts, including those outside of standard business hours.
This will invariably involve the acceptance of overtime assignments. In addition, the role requires a willingness to work on public holidays and weekends, as necessitated by the fluctuating demands of the business.
It is imperative that the selected individual understands and accepts these scheduling requirements, as they are crucial to maintaining consistent operational efficacy and ensuring the organization’s ability to deliver its services effectively at all times.
