NEEDED:
Education: At least a Grade 9 education.
Experience: Must have experience doing housekeeping in a hospital.
Job Needs:
- Must be willing to work extra hours if needed, and work 12-hour shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays).
Skills: Able to follow safety and cleanliness rules. - Able to talk clearly with others. Knows about linen and supply management.
- Understands how to prevent infections.
TASKS:
- In charge of managing hygiene, cleaning, and linen services in the hospital ward.
- Make sure supplies and equipment are used correctly, kept in good shape, and stored safely.
- Oversee household helpers and cleaners in the ward.
- Handle all paperwork related to managing staff.
- Go to training classes to improve job skills.
2.CLEANER 5/8TH POST
Garden Route District
SALARY: R82 041 per annum
CENTRE: George Weg CC, Mossel Bay Sub-district
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum educational qualification: Basic numeracy and literacy.
Experience:
Appropriate cleaning experience in a heath environment.
Inherent requirement of the job:
Physical able to lift and/ or move heavy objects and supplies.
Ability to operate machinery and equipment used in domestic and clinic cleaning services.
Willingness to rotate to other clinics in the Sub District.
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
- Good interpersonal and communication skills (Written and Verbal).
- Appropriate knowledge of the correct methods of handling and disposal of refuse/ waste products and to adhere to policies and cleaning procedures.
- Appropriate knowledge of legislation and policies of the Department of Health and Wellness relevant to cleaning practise.
TASKS:
- Includes general cleaning, tidying, and upkeep such as dusting, sweeping, polishing, scrubbing, mopping, and cleaning windows, walls, equipment, machines, and trash removal.
- Make sure waste and linens are managed well.
- Use and store cleaning supplies and equipment properly and efficiently.
- Help supervisors and coworkers by doing general cleaning tasks and services.
- Keep a clean and safe area by following hygiene and safety rules.
IMPORTANT:
