MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To support nursing unit staff in delivering safe and quality patient care that promotes and meets the healthcare needs of patients, this initiative aims to provide resources, training, and collaborative opportunities. Specifically, it seeks to enhance staff competency in evidence-based practices, improve communication and teamwork, and ensure access to necessary equipment and technologies. Ultimately, the goal is to foster an environment where patients receive comprehensive, individualized care that leads to positive health outcomes and overall well-being
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
- Help nurses give good patient care by working together.
- Find and tell about dangers following hospital rules.
- Help patients have a good experience by helping the nurses.
- Give office help to the nurses as needed.
- Help everyone learn and get better by always learning new things yourself.
- Make sure supplies are used well and charged correctly.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: An appropriate qualification as a Care Worker
DESIRED EDUCATION: Grade 12
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Essential minimum experience: Experience in a healthcare environment

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Knowing how to manage stock.
- Writing reports and keeping records of things that happen or jobs done.
- Knowing the legal and medical risks involved.
- Knowing how to do office work.
- Understanding what patients go through.
- Understanding the basics of looking after patients.
- Using ways to stop infections from spreading.
